Communication leading up to the event was great, and then on the day James was friendly and perfectly balanced the unobtrusive photographer getting those candid shots with the commanding photographer rallying the guests when needed! We first contacted James back in the summer of 2023 whilst in the thick of wedding planning. In what was a pretty stressful time, we were instantly relieved to have found a photographer that not only understood what we were looking for but also made us feel comfortable and relaxed (we’re not the ‘smile for the camera’ type)!
James continued to stay in contact throughout the lead up to our big day with video calls, emails and through WhatsApp. The video calls really helped us to get to know how James worked and James to get to know us as a couple.
On the day itself, James arrived at the venue early, scoping out good areas for photos and capturing some incredible moments of the girls getting ready in the bridal suite.
Throughout the entire day (it was a long one), James was amazing. He somehow managed to put everyone at ease and, after a few formal photos, we hardly noticed having our pictures taken. He also fit in like he was one of the family, laughing with the guests, joking with our kids and giving us some encouragement when it was time for couples photos. He even stayed later than planned to capture the father-daughter dance.
All in all, we couldn’t have asked for more. We feel so lucky to have found the perfect photographer for our day!
